History
The 1980s
The difficult economic times at the beginning of this new decade force Gérard Milette to review his position in the
market of doors and windows. So he takes two important decisions in 1980. He first expands his territory by supplying a
few distributors in the Montréal region, and then concentrates his activities on the manufacturing of solid wood doors. He
also partners up with a distribution agency in order to cover the largest territory possible.
Known for the quality of its cedar products, his company quickly outruns its competition and places itself among the
largest wholesalers in Quebec. In 1983, Gérard Milette expands his installations once again so as to reconfigure his
production line. During the next few years, several departments undergo, one by one, important transformations. 1987 is
marked by the acquisition of an ultramodern wood cutting machine.
